Everywhere, the beach sand has notable differences to mark a way in your memory. Our beach memories are definitely indexed by the sand. It's colour, texture, feel and contents. For instance the black sand beaches of Maharashtra western coast have variables everywhere. Some are black from the oil rigs, and somewhere it's so clean you could take a handful and stow it in your backpack. . . How do you remember beaches best? . . . On a second note, if each of us picks up even 5 piece of plastic from the beaches we visit, it will be a cleaner place. Leave your heart behind! . . Stunning tea gardens of Sri Lanka will steal your heart with its vast green stretches and hidden waterfalls. We had stopped on our way to Nanu Oya station to fly the drone at a tea garden. No sooner than we took it off ground it started raining heavily. Mists traveling at a supercar's speed. . . I had always wanted to see how tea gardens look from above. The concentric circles rolled out on hills carefully, with years of work behind it. This tea garden is a 150 year old, so are the tea trees. Old really is gold out here. . . Tea is an inseparable element of our Sunday mornings. What about you? One touch of nature makes the whole world kin. The truth of this quote is so profound for travellers like us. Needless to say that nature is the one binding force for everything good, bad and ugly in the world. There is no rock formation, salt flat, sunflower farm, snow covered rivers or underwater corals that defies or deviates from the laws of nature. There is another universal law that should be made mandatory for all humans alike. What you take, you give back equally. But we don't do that too often, do we? . . . We are planning to start a campaign to practise ways of giving back to nature on a weekly/monthly basis. What could be some of the ideas which we can start small?
