It's sometimes exhausting to keep up with the pace social media puts us up to. Sometimes you need to just sit down, breathe deep, look into the burning embers and remember who you are. TROPICAL DREAM 💞 . . Srilanka is truly a tropical paradise. We were so happy to see the simplicity with which the locals live. Speaking to a few homestay owners at breakfast also made us realise how difficult it gets for locals to sustain their culture over the influx of others coming in, buying land and building tourism focussed properties. . . The country has been declared the best destination in Asia in 2019 by Lonely Planet. It will open up tourists from all over the world to come and enjoy the beauty of this country. . . It will be very important for us to realise that it is home to some of the most polite people on the planet and we'd better help them grow than impose our touristy dreams on them by replacing them.
